Our Philosophy

Force-free. Science-based.
Relationship-focused.

My training philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement and clear communication. I don't just train dogs — I train the humans who love them. When we help owners understand how dogs learn, real and lasting change happens. Rather than forcing a dog into compliance, I focus on guiding them to make the best possible choice. By rewarding the behaviors we want and setting dogs up for success, we build trust, confidence, and a stronger bond between dogs and their owners.

If you use force to get a dog to do what you want, you are inadvertently damaging the dog's confidence and your relationship, and breaking trust. I want to help you teach your dog how to make better choices. I believe dogs are a part of the family and should be treated as such.

As a trainer, I will tailor my training plan to your needs and make it work for you. I will never guarantee results, but I will promise to be honest and give it my all.

"We adore Crissy! Our maltipoo has been working with Crissy since she was a puppy. She learned the basics, learned socialization skills, and became a lover of agility! We continue to work with Crissy on maintenance, recall, and preventing reactivity. Crissy has a way of making every dog feel like they are her favorite dog ever! (And the feeling is mutual — she is definitely Stormy's favorite non-family human ever!) We HIGHLY recommend using Crissy for all of your dog training needs!!"

"Crissy is everything you want and need in a dog trainer—kind, helpful, attentive, flexible, creative and patient. Our dogs love her (and her treats!) and she's been instrumental in training our dogs (one anxious and one highly reactive). Training with Crissy has made a world of difference in our lives and our dogs' lives."

"Crissy has changed our family dynamics for the better. We have a reactive German shepherd and weren't sure we could handle him. We briefly considered rehoming him, sad to say. Crissy is magical with him and taught us skills to deal with him. Now he's a different dog and my best buddy. Other people have noticed the difference and even asked if it was the same dog. lol. My wife and I highly recommend 2C Dog Training. We tell all our furbaby owner friends. If you hire her, please share your experience with me."

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Positive reinforcement, 100%. Force-free, science-based methods that build trust between you and your dog. No prong collars, no shock collars, no intimidation. We teach your dog what TO do — not just punish what they shouldn't.
It depends on your goals and your dog's history. Some families see major progress in just a few sessions. For ongoing support, our Yearly Training plan ($4,000/year) gives you 53 private sessions — one every week — plus unlimited text support. Save $1,200 vs. paying per session. We'll give you an honest timeline after the first session.
Absolutely. Reactivity, anxiety, aggression — these are often the dogs that need the most help. We start by understanding what's driving the behavior, then build a management and modification plan. No judgment. Some of our best success stories started in the toughest situations.
Puppies as young as 8 weeks all the way to senior dogs. For puppies, our Yearly Training plan is especially valuable — it covers them through adolescence with weekly sessions and ongoing support. And honestly, some of our best results come from older dogs. You absolutely can teach an old dog new tricks.
Wherever makes sense for your dog. We train at your home, local parks, or wherever the behavior needs to be addressed. A lot of behavioral work actually needs to happen in the real world, not a sterile training room. We also offer virtual sessions for follow-ups or distance clients.
Just give us 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule. Life happens — we get it. No fees for rescheduling with enough heads up. Same-day cancellations may be charged as the dog's schedule gets disrupted too.
Yes. We accept Venmo, Zelle, and credit cards, and payment plans are available on every package. Talk to Crissy at booking and we'll set up a schedule that works for your household.
No. Classes do not expire. Use them at your pace — life happens, and your sessions wait for you.
Tricks training is included when you book any private training package (8-Pack, 16-Session, or Yearly). Once foundational skills are solid, we can layer in tricks during your private sessions.
